This is what Texas governors do. Remember when it was Rick Perry performatively urging constituents to pray for rain during a wildfire in a drought?

Though Dan here is loony enough to probably believe it actually works.

And, also, how do people not connect that if your god holds the lives of these kids in a flood over your head for worship, isn't he kind of the bad guy?
