And yet, everytime he claims something, some stupid shit head believes it.

I jokingly said, "Man, I'm loving this $1.98 gas" at work, and some fuck face agreed with a, "Ain't it nice".

Gas is at least $2.74 in a sixty mile radius around my town.

That's some of the cheapest gasoline in the world... I would be careful complaining about it.

You know, honestly, he could score a win if he used real had prices. 2.70 here ain't bad and some places have 2.49.

If he legit said, hey, gas prices are floating around $2.50, he could score points. But no, dummy had to exaggerate it to a redonk price.

I got gasoline for $2.36 the other day

Just did the conversation. UK is roughly $7.50 per gallon (£1.42/liter). I've seen it up near $10 in some places.

I would gladly pay $15 a gallon if we got walkable cities and functional public transportation in exchange for it

[-] [email protected] 3 points 1 month ago

Oh, they are working on fixing that. Our public transport was "privatised" a few decades back. It's a shadow of what it used to be. A few places have improved, but it's often local efforts.

Walkability is a godsend however. Interestingly, Milton Keynes proves you can have the best of both worlds. It has a robust road network. However, the red routes mean you can get most places with minimal road crossings. Either on food, bike, or e-scooter.

2.74 USD / gal. is equivalent to 0.99 CAD / L

Anything below 1.50 CAD / L is considered cheap where I live. I’m jealous of your gas prices

[-] [email protected] 1 points 1 month ago

I remember the first time i saw gas hit $1.00 CAD/L decades ago and never seen it below since.

Dropped to 65ish cents during the first few months of covid when the highways were empty, that was wild. Soared back up not too long afterwards

Either that didn't happen in BC where I'm at, or I didn't pass a gas station to notice while isolating, but that is wild.
