The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has been furiously urging House Democrats to release messages of steadfast support for Israel in its war with Iran, the Prospect and Drop Site News have learned, even as bipartisan lawmakers come together on a War Powers Act resolution to prevent U.S. troops or funds being used in yet another Middle East conflagration.

One member relayed that a colleague had received literally 100 phone calls from members of AIPAC and its allied pressure groups. AIPAC wants House Democratic members to state explicitly that they “stand with Israel” in its actions against Iran aimed at destroying the Islamic Republic’s nuclear capability, and add that Iran “must never have a nuclear weapon.”

Yep, mine just released a statement:

Simply put, Iran must be stopped from developing nuclear weapons.

I mean I live next to a military base, so I already know it's all war from my rep, but goddamn.

Simply put, maybe not tear up an already made deal that prevented that if that's what you wanted. Now, people died over that decision as a direct result with plenty more to follow.

Honestly, im way more worried about us holding nukes than Iran at this time... also, one of the reasons Iran wanted the development was for nuclear power plants to provide energy in an area that has trouble with providing electricity. Did they also want to build nukes? Who knows, but i wouldn't blame them either.

Just look at the history of any country without nukes. Iran wants nukes.
