Bats
Bats are cool
Bats are the only true flying mammals. There are over 1,400 species of bats, and they can be found on nearly every part of the planet. Not only are they cute, they are also important...
Studying how bats use echolocation has helped scientists develop navigational aids for the blind. Without bats’ pollination, seed dispersal, and pest control we wouldn’t have bananas, avocados, mangoes, agave, or cacao… that’s right, bats bring us tequila and chocolate!

Do not handle it with bare hands! Bats can carry rabies.

Celebrate bats with us!
Our community's mascot is Baxter. Baxter is an Egyptian fruit bat that was cruelly kept alone and confined to a small cage for 12 years before being rescued by a bat sanctuary. You can read the full story by clicking on his name.

is it alive?
May want to put it in a box to help keep it safe from predators, possibly call a rescue if you have one near you. I'm not sure it's capable of find it's own way back, but the rescue peeps might have a better idea.
handle it with gloves and wash your hands very well immediately, either way. (leather gardener's gloves. when washing your hands, make sure to catch your thumb and go up your arms.)
edit: may be able find a rescue here
Yes it's alive, i saw it move. Nice website, thanks. Unfortunately the Italians didn't answer yet 🤣 Will try again.
If your city has some form of animal control as a public service, they likely would have the contact info for rescues.
But it should be fine. That website had a tip for moving them safely... use a somewhat thin (but long) stick and tuck it in their feet. Unless you know where mum is, but given the age, I can't really imagine they're not injured from a fall.
in any case, bats are way cooler than humans typically give them credit for, so thanks for being a good human :P
