Had a mostly successful glaze firing. Found some new glazes I'm satisfied with including a good midfire red that I've been questing for for a while now.

As you all know lemm.ee is shutting down. Since this community has all of like 4 posts mostly by me, I'm just going to let it close and try to move to [email protected]. It is even less active than here and I don't know the state of it's moderation but I'll try my future posts there for a while and if it doesn't work out maybe we can start the community again on a new instance (probably piefed.social).

First of all, these are absolutely beautiful pieces! Everything looks so professional. The green plates are probably my favorite but everything is so nice it's hard to really pick a favorite at all. Well done!

I've been wondering if there was going to be a rebirth for this community. The posts here are always a treat to look through, it would be a shame to lose something so cool on Lemmy.

Thank you! My goal this time was to try to throw consistently formed objects that could stack (i.e. plates, blates, sauce dishes). They are not perfect but I'm mostly happy with them. We needed some new dishware also.

The mushroom house (not made by me) happens to be my favorite, haha. The mushroom house and green box were made by my sister in law and I just fired them for her. I've been toying with the idea of doing a kilnshare with my kiln. Help others in my neighborhood who want to try pottery. But I figured I should try a full firing on my own before putting the work of other people in there.
