The only thing holding me back is the internationalization. I know they're a big company capable of internationalization, but is there a chance it's not really polished/complete on laptops they're currently only selling in
? Will I be a few menus deep suddenly totally illiterate to what's on my screen?
I'm a touch typer and not worried about the labels on the physical keys and buttons, just the software.

Huawei laptops have a good track record with Linux support since they directly contribute to the kernel.
I think you should definitely grab a huawei laptop while you're there since they are significantly better than their western counterparts (Chinese OEMS love to put really good high res screens while western ones are just now shipping 16:10
