I am one of those ND that controls their divergence with alarms. And yesterday I ended one of my work alarms instead of snoozing it. This caused me to miss placing my weekly order with one distributor.
When I was an android user I had an app called Alarm Clock Xtreme. 7/8ths of the screen was a snooze button, and there was a small button to end the alarm. You could configure the snooze duration. And when ending, or snoozing you could require a puzzle, or solution of a variable difficulty math problem.
This prevented me from ever ending an alarm when I meant to snooze it.
Sadly the android app I used does not have an iOS counterpart. Does anyone know of an alarm app that at the very least is difficult to turn off?
I am willing to pay for an app, but will not do a subscription.
So it is not about getting out of bed. I have no issues with that. And actually I have not set a morning alarm in probably 5 years other than a random one when I have to get up super early.
I have alarms set throughout the day to remind me of different tasks I have to complete. They are mostly time sensitive tasks at work. I set an alarm for something that needs to be completed by 4:30 at 1:15, then if I have customers i can snooze until I am free. But more than once I was unlocking my phone as an alarm went off and it killed the alarm. So I want something that requires more than a button press to turn off the alarm.
The shortcut I shared, set to an automation triggered by stopping the alarm, respawns the alarm until you go through a minimum two-step process to kill it.
Thanks, I missed that and will look into it.
