This is a group chat for the private message app Signal. I want to foster a community of privacy conscious vegans and just engage in casual and serious discussions. All fun! Signal might be slightly easier for some, but certainly Matrix, being decentralized and completely open source, is the more secure one.

Signal is as well, and it doesn't stand the same in terms of security or privacy. Yes, self hosting is a huge pro but their huge leaks of metadata in transport of messages, among many other reasons, keeps signal as my preferred communication medium for this.
