That's because it's a stupid idea blurted out by a senile old man who's just remember things talked about decades ago by other Presidents. He remembered the star wars program under Regan and here we go. At most it's a bullshit front to pump money into more nukes to aim at China. As if they ever needed to justify that before.

Either that or it's gonna be an excuse to point nukes at their own cities. Which I would t be surprised of either. If something ever comes about that jeopardizes their rule, I can see them burning it all down rather than losing control. It makes sense honestly.
