What is, for you, creativity?
Let's put aside AI please :) Just a bit inquisitive about what does that mean for you? (You can go crazy on the reply)
Creativity is creation. Creation from the imagination from our brain which helps to keep going on. Between dreams, inspirations, celebrations, sadness, love. Putting into words is easy sometimes. Sometimes is hard. Sometimes is too much words to put on paper or through HTML. Naively, I thought creativity was not caged. But, it is. Too much codes, boxes, rules (I understand that sometimes some basics rules can prevent upsetting situations.. we all know that). Putting words on a white paper (cliché) helps to vent out. It creates something new which I adore. It creates a new storyline which, sometimes, you do not know where it goes, where it should end.
Is it because we were brought up in a society which imposes a certain way? Or a selective society meaning this type of creativity is worth something but the others no ?
At the risk of getting too mystic, creativity is the ability to explore the inner world, communication is the ability to path and map that world. Art is the ability to push someone into that world, potentially forcefully and against their will. All of this is quite separate from 'value' or 'worth'.
That said, capital is willing to pay for this because it has no connection to the inner world (interesting considering how it spawns some of the most foul and evil egregors out there.) They pay for solutions where necessary, but mostly they want it to be decoration within their egregors, defined only in those terms. You see this whenever anything gets committeed or focus-grouped out of their art-as-product.
Limits are imposed by culture and language, but those can be broken through, it's just hard. But the inner world is infinite and contains all possibilities there to be found and pathed.
Indeed, you went mystic but it is refreshing :). On the "potentially forcefully and against their will" [I hope, I will express correctly ;It depends which creativity. One can still ignore the creativity of a group, of a person. Even if, then, it is everywhere. There is still free of will (generally speaking).
Regarding your last point, I think, there is always a breaking point which pushes the limits somewhere to the right direction or to the wrong, it is, I think a 50/50.
