While part of me likes this idea, I’m concerned about setting a precedent. We don’t want to normalize prosecuting/imprisoning politicians who had anything to do with the previous administration

Why not? Have you considered winning and then imprisoning the reactionary enemies of your class? Ever considered fighting and lifting a finger?
