OP is ignoring what got the insults...
But, those are all relatively recent comments on an old thread, if no one reports it, mods will likely never see it.
It's not like they just constantly refresh every post looking for new comments.
Right and they removed his comment not the ones hurling the abuse, I've sent the mod this:
it’s all good, i’ve left, you’ve left the abusive comments up and removed anyone who disagrees
