There was a time when there was 1 working person that could support a family, buy a house, buy a car, and save for their retirement... and often save for their children’s education. I don’t know who is to blame. All I know is there are now oligarchs. 2 working adults have trouble paying bills. Many are stuck in an endless payday to payday cycle just to pay their rent and expenses. Oh! But wait a minute…Trump is offering $5000 to families to have a baby! No health care, no maternity leave. But $5000. These SOBs are so out of touch!
That time was super short, happened only in a few selected countries and is an anomaly blip in the history of the world. And even if you think that your life is noticeably worse today, you're still far far better off than the majority of the population today and throughout history.
As for why this time has ended: humans have a need to live in a need. Otherwise they become bored and destroy everything they have. Again, that state of life is not normal, humans cannot live like that, we're not adapted to such conditions.
Indigenous people were living all over the world very well, until the Europeans invaded their space, and their world. Hawaiians were the epitome of peace and tranquility. And then the Europeans came...
What does Europe have to do with anything? Indigenous people were living in Europe until the Homo Sapiens invaded.
