I like how the direction you turn the wheel lines up with the direction you shift the stalk, it's intuitive.

It's the blinkers. They redesigned so many things in the Deplorean that worked absolutely fine for decades. Another one is that the gear you're in is controlled by buttons above the center console on a touch pad that only lights up while you're using it.
