She keeps getting pregnant and having abortions.

That wouldn't be her "sending it back"

[-] slevinkelevra@sh.itjust.works 64 points 9 months ago

Except if she means that her body is sending them back. Then the post makes a lot more sense, her blaming god for miscarriages.

[-] lugal@sopuli.xyz 2 points 9 months ago

But the post says she sends them to god, not god sending and taking back so she clearly doesn't blame god for miscarriage

If your body does something, then you do something.

To those who are having the miscarriage, it definitely can seem like it is.

[-] suite403@lemmy.world 10 points 9 months ago

It easily could. Religious funerals often say stuff like "were giving them back to you."

She keeps getting a Texas school teacher and having abortions?

[-] unimalion@sh.itjust.works 5 points 9 months ago

She's a teacher in Texas and her students keep getting shot

[-] loudWaterEnjoyer@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 9 months ago

I thought it's a joke, she is not really sending anything back to God just as God is not really sending her anything

I remember watching that movie when it came out, that line is burned into my brain forever.
