I believe they're possible. My thinking with afterlife etc is that I'm not gonna mess around with it just incase there is one, so I'd never do a ouija board or anything.

That being said, I think most people's experiences are tricks of the mind, wishful thinking, made up etc.

You should look up Ouija boards, they were created as a boardgame in the 1890's and are in no way anything occult. It was a commercial endeavour by a lawyer. They're quite safe.
