It's this reaction for me for pretty much every trailer these days. Am I out of touch? No, no it's the kids who are wrong.

It’s definitely the children. Movies these days suck. Prey is one very notable exception.

Like, what will pop culture references look like in 10-20 years? What content has been so memorable and impactful on society in the last 10 years that it will be worth referencing, or that audiences of the future will even remember?

(I am optimistic for this, but the fucking dreadhawk is a huge red flag)

Check out The Promised Land (2023) with Mads Mikkelsen. It’s gut-punch tour de force, and it will stay with you long after you are done watching.
