Not an uplifting story, but slightly uplifting to see so many people turn out in defence of the tree, including the council. Hopefully the locals will boycott the pub until forced to close and sell up.
They should also name the so called experts that told them a healthy tree needed to be cut down. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ce8g6lj8343o
