Been playing around with the Dremel Digilab available at my library, hoping that I can make myself some poorhammer units. I know these detailed pieces really need to be printed on a fancy resin printer, but $4 wasn't a bad price to experiment with scale shrug-outta-hecks. I was hoping I could attempt to make some Battletech minis, too, but I'll probably need to use a resin printer for that, too

The smaller/thinner bits totally got fucked up tho lol

If anyone has any resin printer services they recommend, let me know!

Shit, bet you can make all sorts of cool stuff with this, like garage kits?

It depends on how annoying it is to sand down the "ridges" that the FDM printer leaves. Definitely can't make any decent models at any wargaming scales, but I'm wondering what kind of larger stuff I can make with this! Ultimately, I think I'll want to get access to an SLA printer to make something that's smoother/prettier.

There's a lot of artists that make cool models for 3d printing - like the modular set I printed in this test lol. I'm thinking it could be possible to snag models from video games to convert to an OBJ or STL file.
