After federation I've been thinking how many people would be interested and have the time to participate in a Fediverse/Lemmyverse GameJam (hexbear.net)

Pretty much title, I also think a good practice would be to limit the amount of non-FOSS programs people are allowed to use

I'm all for this! I hosted a Hexbear game jam back in 2021, but very few people submitted games and even fewer voted for a winner - I think we got 4 submissions and 2 votes. We might get better results now that we're federated, though.

I don't remember a game jam....

If you all get something going make sure to get some posts pinned and maybe ask @[email protected] to add something to the megathread.

We'd probably reach out to mods and admins on some other instances as well, more reach and all that.
