I can't take any vehicle with a hubless wheel seriously. It's one of the biggest red flags for a bike being a disposable and intentionally unserviceable piece of shit.

It seems the rear wheel is also the motor, so maybe there's a good reason for it? Although I suspect you're right and it's just done for the style without regard for function.
