When the public is so misinformed on another country that the only things they know about it are completely made up, it basically becomes impossible to get them to understand the country as it actually is.
We're seeing almost DPRK levels of lies about China being pushed in the west these days, it won't be long before westerners are told that Chinese people are forced to worship Xi as a living god or something.
Remember the time someone said China's economy was 2.5x less bigger, because of lack of lightbulbs?
Not to mention, the Epoch Times' Jennifer Wang theorized an ongoing coup against Xi Jinping, due to him not appearing publicly, for a time.
Same, if not most insane DPRK magic, is being applied to China already.
