How is this being called a "moped"? Mopeds and a "Class 3 e-bike" are in no way the same thing! This caps out at 26mph and a Class 3 is typically limited to 28 mph because after 28 mph it's... Legally a moped!
It has pedals, it's capped at 26 mph and it has a throttle - how is it not, legally, a Class 3 e-bike with all the rights that implies?
It would be a moped in Finland at least, where mopeds are up to 45kmh (28mph)
Though to be able to register something as a moped here the manufacturer has to have it pass EU L1e-B qualification approval (tyyppihyväksyntä), which very few do.
Through the "magic" of marketing?
Shouldn't this be class 2?
Nah, Class 2 top speed is 20 mph. If it goes over 20 but not 29+, it's Class 3.
