Well, that doesn’t make it clearer so I’m guessing it’s an episode from the new(ish) seasons that I haven’t gotten around to watching yet

Nope, it's not from the latest two seasons. Another hint would be that the tentacle marks were caused by octopuses.

EDIT: I believe the correct plural is octopi.

I love that episode. But it totally went out my head. I didn't remember it until you wrote that quote. Time to rewatch all episodes.
