Nimrod can mean a slang term for idiot or jerk, a biblical figure who was a hunter and king, or a hunter in general

One of my favorite little facts is that "nimrod" entered the lexicon as synonym of "moron" because Bugs Bunny kept applying it to ~~Elmer Fudd~~ Marvin the Martian and very Christian America was too Biblically illiterate to understand that he was making a sarcastic reference.

Not correct actually, it was Marvin the Martian he called Nimrod and it was because of his Roman centurion garb.

Which is why it's very funny that one of the X-Men's greatest villains is an evil robot from the future named Nimrod
