According to Steam Cyberpunk is a Steam Deck verified game so I expected it to work on Bazzite on an Ally.

Unfortunately it opens the CDPR launcher and when I click Play it just goes back to Steam.

Are there some settings I need to change?

As others have said, skip the launcher. I always do that on every game that does it (I’m looking at you, BG3), because who wants to see another launcher when they launch the game from a launcher?
