You are on the Lemmy website "lemm.ee". You might have heard of Lemmy instances described as a bunch of Reddit websites that sync content to each other. I'm on the Lemmy website "sh.itjust.works", but we can seemlessly have this conversation.

Extending this analogy, imagine if Digg and HackerNews users could also post and comment on Reddit, and vice versa. That's more or less the situation between Lemmy/Mbin/Piefed.

Different software, similar website layout, all syncing using the same underlying protocol.
