It is a great shock for me to learn that my first book, Freckleface Strawberry, has been banned by the Trump Administration from schools run by the Department of Defense.

We're burying the lede here, why is the Department Of Defense running schools??

There are schools are army bases that the "Military brats" go to. So, they are banning these books in schools that they run, on land that they own, often outside the USA
