I have a fleeting special interest in mechanical keyboards that comes up every few months or so. Really interested in these ergonomic keyboards and the flexibility they provide, especially going the DIY route. Currently using a logitech keyboard with proprietary keyswitches that I intend to replace. In fact, the switches now get too excited and register the keypress sometimes more than once or not even at all. Rather than ordering proprietary switches to fix it, I'm waiting for my keyboard special interest to kick into full gear and get a better keyboard that I can truly enjoy :)

Also bendy/floppy people represent. I can't sleep on one side due to my shoulder cracking and moving more than it should and the pain is starting to creep into keyboard and mouse use if my posture is acting up (it always is lol). Really should invest into an accessible setup before the current one becomes inaccessible and causes me too much pain.

I have gotten great milage switching to a ploopy classic trackball. takes strain off the arm and wrist, and using forearm muscles vs thumb and wrist muscles is better for fatigue and lack of injury.

Will let you know how keyboard goes. It's pretty straightforward using the website in the screenshot. Wiring is just hand soldering a matrix. Would be expensive if buying printed parts and keycaps though. NFI why blank keycaps cost so much
