As I was looking at a local municipality's "Community Strategic Plan", they listed some "Top Achievements" for the previous year.

Among them was "Increased bike lanes by 1.01km in 2023."

I mean, seriously? A whole kilometre that was split between two different projects?! /s

Anyone else feel like their municipality is simply doing the bare minimum for cyclists so they can pat themselves on the back?

Also none of the post offices are accessible by bike.

This is the bane of my existence. Canada Post seems to think that putting their post office in stores that have poor accessibility is a good idea.

In response, I make sure to take my fully loaded mountain bike (looks like a touring bike) into the store whenever I have to drop anything off.

And yes, I've written many times, and have spoken to staff at various locations... nobody seems to give a shit, so I'll continue bringing my bike inside. I hate doing it, but I'm not leaving my bike outside the store without as much as a pole to lock it to.
