Privacy has become a very important issue in modern society, with companies and governments constantly abusing their power, more and more people are waking up to the importance of digital privacy.
In this community everyone is welcome to post links and discuss topics related to privacy.
Some Rules
- Posting a link to a website containing tracking isn't great, if contents of the website are behind a paywall maybe copy them into the post
- Don't promote proprietary software
- Try to keep things on topic
- If you have a question, please try searching for previous discussions, maybe it has already been answered
- Reposts are fine, but should have at least a couple of weeks in between so that the post can reach a new audience

I believe Lemmy.world blocks VPNs. You could try a different instance which doesn't have that policy
I comment on Lemmy.World all the time via a VPN though. Maybe they don't allow it for accounts on their instance?
You are commenting on a lemmy.world community, but your connecting to sh.itjust.works, who then talks to lemmy.world. Your VPN isn't connecting directly to lemmy.world
I use a VPN and have never had issues connecting to lemmy.world despite regularly having issues with YouTube and Reddit. I wonder if its specific VPN networks or blacklisted IPs that lemmy.world doesn't like.
Maybe .world only blocks the big VPNs. World pages also load very slow at least comparing to .ml. When someone links a .world link directly to a post there it takes ages to load.
