It's not about the individual, but the principle. Deadnaming or delegitimizing someone, even under the excuse that they are terrible, opens the door to deadname/delegitimize others for whatever other reason someone sees as valid.
Caitlyn Jenner should be in prison. But it should still be a women's prison.
People do this all the time. I was just laughing at someones comment about reddit always being right wing, then they changed it to racist and another comment was it's the same thing.
