The semantics are making people come out of woodwork to call the whole thing stupid.
First of all the way I see it, it is true that nobody invents a company, they invent products. But Elon still didn't even invent the Tesla cars, the SpaceX rockets or the startling satellites. Teams of extremely smart engineers (smarter than him) have invented those for him. He also didn't even buy Tesla. He placed people who are loyal to him on the board and had them vote him into control of the company while kicking out the original founders.
But he loves to go around bragging about being a rocket scientist and I bet if Neuralink ever produces something viable he will go around claiming to be a brain surgeon as well.
And he absolutely bought X and Trump.
I'm coming out of the woodwork to say I don't think anyone thought Musk "invented" Trump and it's a very bad landing to a standard routine. Like "bones're on the outside" bad landing.
