We've definitely considered a gymnastics class for her. She lands like a chimp. Ie she lands on bended knees and rolls to distribute the force. She jumps further and from higher up than her 10 year old sister. If I weren't genuinely concerned for her safety I'd just be impressed. But she definitely lands correctly already.
Sounds like she might have looked up how to land while free running. Definitely encourage safely landing and repetitive movements so her body will get used to it.
Also I'm assuming she already found out about American Ninja Warrior. I think they have a kids version.
Never heard of it, don't have a TV, and also live in Scandinavia.
Sorry. The OG show was called Sasuke in Japan. It came to America and worldwide after that. I saw some EU ninja warrior guys on the American version. It looks like there was a Swedish version for a season.
If you want to show her videos of women completing some of the course you can look up Kacy Catanzaro (first women up the wall), Jessie Graff, Jesse 'flex' Labreck, or Megan Martin to name a few. They got plenty of clips online. The show motivates me to workout or get some sprints in. I can't really do all the jumps since I'm getting old.
