Having the Leafs as our kryptonite wouldn't be a horrible curse. But this would then be the year they get to the Stanley Cup Finals.
Can you imagine?! Bettman and the refs would never allow it.
I'd love to see an all-Canadian cup series, but you're right, Bettman would be freaking out. There would be a division shuffle so that could never happen again.
