As an American, I'm in agreement with that in concept. Partition would be a harrowing process though, as people scramble to go where they feel they belong. I'm not sure such a process could happen without another civil war.

I was saying this the last time around. America is too big and the parties are too polarized, the federal government can't fairly represent all of its constituents at once. At any given time, half of the population is being underrepresented.

That's more practical than just reforming the election system, apparently. Ugh.

Oldschool Republicans may have a point here too, perhaps less federal power is better.
