I can't spoil anything, but this whole post is rich in irony. Literally everything in Silent Hill 2 revolves around this point! Maybe this is the game remake we needed. Fuck where did my copy go?!
Most of Silent Hill 3 revolves around this stuff too. I believe that was the idea though, that 2 focuses on a lot of masculine anxieties and sexual neurosis, so 3 focuses on anxieties women might have.
I can only imagine the g*mer rage if Konami contracts Bloober to remake SH3. Because it actually is woke in the way they say it is. It has a strong female protagonist who gets really pissed off by creepy male attention and resists being sexualized.
Heather is just so good. She's such a rarity in horror games. She's a normal person who just wants to go home and be left alone, doesn't want to deal with weird supernatural stuff, and she has a warranted temper about everything happening.
