I've been to AYCE sushi places before. This kind of policy is usually explicitly stated on their menu; either you eat it, or you pay extra for it, and that's whether it goes home with you, or in the trash. That's necessary to prevent massive food waste.

I mean, it's AYCE; eat a little, order a little more, eat that, decide if you want more, repeat. It's not hard to pace yourself.

Yeah I think to make this policy sustainable they should say there will be a charge for uneaten food, even if it’s not taken to go.
