The right claims that radical leftists have run ‘woke’ cities into the ground. But this is false. Moderate policies over the last few decades have created the conditions for crime, drug use, and homelessness to increase in Democratic cities.

A good question. Moderate vs radical isn't a measure of willingness to do violence, rather the belief that society must be replaced vs reformed. Radicals think the system is not fixable or not worth fixing and should be replaced by a different system. Moderates believe that the system is good, but needs to be fixed.

Radical beliefs aren't necessarily scary or violent. It is where a lot of the crazies live though, so it isn't a good measure of good or bad. Switching to facism, monarchism, feudalism, socialism, or communism are all radical ideas. Trying to regulate/deregulate capitalism is a moderate position.

Beehaw's community for socialists, communists, anarchists, and non-authoritarian leftists (this means anti-capitalists) of all stripes. A place for all leftist and labor news and discussion, as long as you're nice about it.

Non-socialists are welcome to come to learn, though it's hard to get to in-depth discussions if the community is constantly fighting over the basics. We ask that non-socialists please be respectful and try not to turn this into a "left vs right" debate forum by asking leading questions or by trying to draw others into a fight.
