Science should strive to be separate from society. The purest idea of science is that it is simply the true observational facts about the world. Testable, and reproducible by others. We shouldn't strive to include more emotions in scientific discovery, we should strive to exclude it. Science isn't a religion. It doesn't require 'belief' or anything of the sort. It is simply discovery, and it should remain that way.
