Nearly two years ago, Meta announced that Quest’s social space, Horizon Home, would allow users to watch YouTube videos together—something we’ve been wishing was easy to do in VR for a long time. Excitement waned, however, when the feature never actually made it out the door. Now the company says social viewing for YouTube is finally ready. Yes, but now the huge Meta Horizons userbase can benefit too!

Not horizon worlds, horizon home. That’s the "Home Screen" of the quest where people appear if you join them on a call.

I never knew the lobby homescreen type area was called Horizon as well lol. I learned something new.

Yes, it’s super confusing. They’ve actually renamed a lot of stuff to "Horizon".

The app is called "Meta Horizon", the operating system is called "Meta Horizon OS", there’s "Horizon Workrooms", the "Horizon Feed", and the previously mentioned "Horizon Home", non of these have anything to do with "Horizon Worlds" which is the thing everyone thinks of when they heard that word.

Maybe next year they will follow every youtube ad with a facebook one!
