I'm reading this while sipping a drink through a plastic straw.

My local pizzarias also use that support.

looking at your post history gives me the impression that you're in europe

The EU is acting against plastic pollution. From 3 July 2021, single-use plastic plates, cutlery, straws, balloon sticks and cotton buds cannot be placed on the markets of the EU Member States. In addition, the same measure applies to cups, food and beverage containers made of expanded polystyrene, and all products made of oxo-degradable plastic.

i haven't seen plastic straws for some years now. Where are you?

Naw, the US. I'm just trying to post more articles on Europe; I used to follow /r/Europe on Reddit. Got into it back in when Trump was in office because I was profoundly tired of reading about Trump, and he was constantly all over all American news.

Also read something about European politics and international issues and such during that time, so I sometimes comment on them talking about those.

EDIT: If you'll go back a couple more comments in my comment history, you'll find me talking about the Declaration of Independence, if you want something more American:

and I've been following U.S. politics from afar for the last almost 10 years. It's a crazy ride you're on. It's fascinating… it's really fascinating to watch how half of the richest country in the world can fall for a conman 👀

i guess people don't care about regulating single use plastics when the discussion is about doctors killing babies after birth and migrants eating pets, sharks vs electrocution, windmills killing birds, toilet flushes getting weak, pussy grabbing &c
