Run it with Virtual desktops VDXR runtime. Not only does it run better, but it skips a step in your setup time. No need to have SteamVR running at all. Euro truck sim had a bug 2 patches ago that was messing with VR, their menu redesign also fixed it. If your truck sim games aren't showing up in VD's game launch tab, use the -openVR launch command instead of -Oculus launch command. That should populate it in that list.
