Breadtube if it didn't suck.

Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.

Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.

There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.

In fact, if you want information to kill the police officers who are going to Haiti, I am sure we can help.

from a reddit comment:

The spokesperson states that the people of Haiti are now being subjected to the same violence Kenyans experienced at the hands of the police at home.

In June 2024, Kenyan police were sent to “restore order” to the gang-controlled country. Massive protests spread across Haiti earlier this year, calling on the US-backed Ariel Henry to resign. Armed gangs then exploited the power vacuum that followed and currently control about 85% of the capital, Port-au-Prince.

So far, 400 Kenyan police officers have been deployed and a total of 1,000 have been promised. US neo-colonies such as Bangladesh, Benin, Chad, the Bahamas, and Barbados are also set to participate in the US-financed invasion.

In the first six months of 2024, five children a week were killed or injured in Haiti, totaling 131 children. More than 600,000 Haitians have been displaced and become homeless due to gang violence. Two million live in gang-dominated areas where the risk of being killed or kidnapped is high. NGO Save the Children warned that given the track record of the Kenyan forces, the invasion would likely only lead to more violence and suffering.
