I've been putting off watching it because just through osmosis from the memes and reference it looks bleak AF.
Is the mecha fight fun at least? I've watched Iron-Blooded Orphan and like it, it's giving me the same vibes narrative wise.
As someone who watched it for the first time this year, I was less interested in the mecha fights and fully captivated by the story / emotional states of the characters, which is not what I was expecting at all.
