The same way it does in Google maps, and in Waze. But I can't seem to find a setting on the phone that will do that for any other apps, and I can't find any information through internet searches that leave me that direction.

As usual, they show me what they think I ought to be looking for, which is how to lock an app. Not the question I asked, Google (or anybody else).

Is it impossible or does anybody have a tip? Not looking to go down the unlocking my phone root access path either. It's not that big a deal, I could turn on trusted devices, or extend unlock, but those aren't the solutions I'm looking for.

Well I just got back to it and all the downvotes. It meant that I am so stupid, I didn't notice it in the settings. I was rolling my eyes at myself.

Just another evidence that I am not only not a great googler, and also not a great finder of settings in an app, but also a very poor communicator!

Think you can for calling my attention to this horribly worded reply.

These things happen to everyone from time to time.

I myself misworded some comments just the other day in frustration and inadvertently caused an upset. No worries at all. It's big of you to come in here and correct yourself. It speaks volumes to the type of person you are.

Cheers.

Wow, I was giving you the benefit of the doubt but I wasn't hopeful. Yes, it did read to me at least like you were being snappy with them, sarcastically thanking, and then rolling your eyes at the fact someone would even think that was a good reply

Text communication is tough though. I know I've definitely written some comments that do no sound right when read back.
