2023.07.29 SOTD:

  • Prep: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Cleanser & hot shower

  • Brush: AKA Brushworks Amethyst Watchman with 26mm AP Shave Co G5C

  • Razor: Gillette Slim Adjustable

  • Blade: Gillette Perma-Sharp (4)

  • Lather: Seaforth! Sea Ice Lime

  • Post Shave: Stirling Mentholated Unscented Witch Hazel and Aloe, Seaforth! Sea Ice Lime Aftershave Splash, Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel-Cream Extra-Dry

Did things a little different today. 1) I shaved after my shower, and 2) I said, "screw beard mapping!" and just did an down, across, and up shave on my 3 passes. Settings on the Slim were 5-5-3. Overall, not a bad shave at all. My beard grows at an angle, so it wasn't the closest shave, but it was comfortable. I think my next shave I'll try down, up, across (from the middle of my neck outward) and see how that goes.
