Is there a community or other platform to coordinate working on the wiki linked in the sidebar?

I'm not able to log in to the wiki, getting incorrect password error even though it's the same login as here, which works fine

There is currently a need to set a display name and email address in your Lemmy profile for the wiki login to work. The plan is to eventually have the connection script to automatically put some placeholders instead, but I have not got around doing that.

Otherwise, only Lemmy community moderators have edit rights for their respective Wiki sections. If you want to draft some new sections, you can also use our Etherpad: https://pads.slrpnk.net

is it planned to eventually allow any users to make edits or suggestion? Or is it planned to remain limited to moderators?

Why not just ask the moderator of the community you want to contribute to, to make you a mod as well?

Because there's no community that fits the general resources I'm interested in adding, and if that's a requirement it will stop 99% of the other potential contributors, if you want to keep it that way it's all good, but unfortunately I can't commit to moderating even more spaces even if there were ones that fit the content

Our wiki is meant to be suplementary to to the communities here on the main Lemmy instance. I am sure there are some that would fit thematically to what you would like to add to the wiki?

If you tell it upfront to the other moderators that you don't have much time to do actual moderation of the community, I don't see why this would be an issue? I am sure help for creating a wiki page for the community would be appreciated never the less. In the end, it's just a technicality for making it easier to modify the editing rights on the wiki.
