A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. The best ones are thoughts that many people can relate to and they find something funny or interesting in regular stuff.

I don't think people 20+ years from now will instantly jump to Trump when they hear Donald. Just like how if you meet George you don't think of Bush.
Yeah, Adolf really doesn't bring anyone notable to mind.
Trump may be a very poor candidate, but he didn't kill 13 million people.
1: Yet.
2: That isn't even the sum of the Holocaust, much less combat casualties from the USSR alone which are absolutely on his head.
Edit: Tbf, the Holocaust numbers only beat that if you include Soviet POWs being genocided in the prison camps, so that is kind of double dipping.
Let him have another term and we'll see how he measure up. And he's up to a few 100k so far in my books.
Yeah, he only killed about 1.4 million.
Actually curious, what is that figure?
Number of excess deaths from COVID.
What counts as excess?

That's pretty horrific. I have an American friend explaining to me as well how he could be plotting a fascist takeover
Dammit, Donnie! These are rookie numbers! You gotta get those numbers up!
Not yet. He's certainly working on it.
Estimates are between 50 and a 100 million people. For example USSR is said to lose around 18 million people in that war.
I would suspect that people can do basic math and realize why someone was named Donald if they're born near today. It might not immediately jump to mind, but it also wouldn't be subtle. I would bet no one else is naming their child Donald unless it's a family name.
