They said things like this about Hillary too and still beat her (through the electoral college). It’s gross stuff but their base have no problem with it and sadly it’s not enough to turn everybody off.
The most effective attacks on Hillary were over NAFTA, voting for the Iraq war, and a general sense of her entitlement and criminality, and Trump still lost the popular vote. The electoral college advantage Trump had in 2016 has almost certainly been erased by the Dobbs decision, as the 2022 midterms showed. I'm not saying it's 100% that Kamala will win, but 2016 isn't necessarily a guide here.

Tbf, Hillary already had all kinds of baggage, and the republicans had spent the better part of two decades spinning up shit about her. Pelosi running would be a better equivalent to Hillary, imo. It was a huge, huge risk basically for no benefit besides for the Clinton's own vanity/glory.
